ASATT Region 5 Meeting Report
Date of Report: April 14, 2025
Meeting Date: April 12, 2025
Location: Tarrant County College, Ft. Worth, Texas

The ASATT Region 5 Meeting held on April 12, 2025, marked our return to in-person regional events. The Meeting exceeded anticipated attendance and was met with overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants.

Attendance surpassed expectations for a post-hiatus in-person event. Attendees represented a broad geographic range, including professionals from Boston, Houston, and the Dallas area. Their enthusiasm and engagement underscored a clear interest in reviving and continuing in-person regional events.

Tarrant County College (TCC) was instrumental in the event’s success, offering strong support and commitment. Discussions during and after the Meeting emphasized the importance of improving communication, and both parties agreed that establishing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) would help clarify roles and streamline coordination for future events.

Encouragingly, TCC expressed a strong interest in hosting the Region 5 Meeting again in 2026. A full year of planning would allow for expanded outreach to vendors and sponsors and strengthen the academic and commercial engagement with the anesthesia technology community.

SIMVANA, one of the featured vendors, reported a highly successful experience and noted that this Meeting produced one of their strongest turnouts to date. They are currently in discussions regarding a potential contract with TCC, which may result from contacts and visibility gained at the event.

The Meeting highlighted the potential for deeper collaboration between educational institutions and industry representatives. With a longer planning timeline next year, there is strong potential to attract a larger pool of vendors, which would enhance both the educational and commercial value of the event.

In summary, the 2025 ASATT Region 5 Meeting was a meaningful and successful step in revitalizing in-person regional engagement. The lessons learned—particularly regarding early coordination and vendor outreach—will guide improvements for future events.

Key action items moving forward include finalizing a Memorandum of Understanding with Tarrant County College, beginning early outreach for the 2026 event, and executing targeted marketing strategies to boost attendance by leveraging this year’s positive feedback.

We look forward to building on this momentum and delivering even more impactful events in 2026.

Respectfully submitted,

Greg Farmer Cer.A.T.
