The American Society of Anesthesia Technologists & Technicians (ASATT) remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards within the anesthesia technology profession. In support of this mission, ASATT actively monitors and investigates any suspected fraudulent activity related to its certification programs, including the Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.) and Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) credentials. Fraudulent behavior – such as falsifying credentials, misrepresenting certification status, or engaging in unethical examination conduct –undermines the integrity of the certification process and the credibility of the profession as a whole. ASATT takes such matters seriously and will take all necessary actions, including revocation of certification or legal recourse, to protect the validity of its programs and the trust of the healthcare community. “ASATT certifications represent a trusted standard of excellence in patient care and professional competency,” said Jennifer Rzepka, CAE, Executive Director of ASATT. “Credentialed individuals work hard to earn and maintain these certifications. Ensuring the integrity of our program and process is essential to protecting their achievements and the safety of the patients they serve.” ASATT encourages all members, employers, and partners to verify certification status through the official ASATT Certification Verification system online: www.asatt.org, and to report any suspected fraudulent activity to the ASATT Office at [email protected]. Through ongoing vigilance, education, and enforcement, ASATT will continue to safeguard the credibility of its certification programs and uphold the ethical principles that define the anesthesia technology profession.
