The Anesthesia Technician prepares the operates the institutional Point of Care Testing monitors, the institution's cell salvaging systems, as well as operate the Rapid Infusion Systems during trauma and liver transplant procedures, or procedures in which the massive transfusion protocol is initiated with minimal guidance.

Position Qualifications:

·           High School Diploma or GED

·           Two years of direct patient care required

·           Certified Anesthesia Technician required

Lead Anesthesia Technologist – Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital

Position Shift: Evenings: 2:30p-11:00p

The Lead Anesthesia Technologist coordinates work assignments for Anesthesia Techs independently. Serves as a mentor to Anesthesia technical staff and participates in the orientation of newly hired Anesthesia Technical staff. Assists with quality control and maintenance of equipment. Assists the Anesthesia Technician Manager/Educator with personnel issues. Performs all functions of a Certified Anesthesia Technologist.

Position Qualifications:

•             High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)

•             3 years relevant experience

•             Certified Anesthesia Technician Required
