ASATT Certification Information
Effective January 1, 2011 there will be a fee increase for the
candidates to sit the technician and the technologist level exams.
Technician exam:
- ASATT Member: $275
- ASATT International Member: $400
- Non-Member: $400
- Non-member International: $500
The ASATT Certification Examinations are offered as Computer-Based
Tests and will be offered almost year round in over 100 locations throughout the United States. Web-based exams for
international candidates are available at select locations for the
technician exam. To view the selected locations, click

The requirements to sit for the technician certification exam (Cer.A.T.)
are:
- Two (2) years employment as an Anesthesia Technician or graduate
of an ASATT approved 2 year educational program of study.
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED) certificate.
- Proficiency in English
- Basic computer skills

- The handbook details information regarding the exam, its administration,
a detailed content outline and instructions for applying for the
exam. The last page of the handbook contains the application.
- Complete the application in its entirety and send it to the
ASATT headquarters along with a copy of your high school diploma,
a letter from your supervisor stating that you have worked as
an Anesthesia Technician for at least two years, and the appropriate
fee. A candidate’s failure to include all of the
information in the original application packet will be charged
an additional $100 processing fee.
- Once your application has been approved you will receive instructions
on how to register with the testing company via email. You will
then be able to select the location and time that is convenient
for you to take your test.
Technologist exam:
- ASATT Member: $325
- Non-member: $450

Technician in good standing in order to take the exam.

ASATT headquarters along with the appropriate fee. A candidate’s
